Hi guys ,

I wanted to order a set od OZ Piega wheels for my 888 strada.
Normally the rear axle diameter is 17 mm and the front axle diameter is 20 mm for the 888.
Now i measured my front axle and it is 25mm ?? see photo
Are the '94 888's equiped with the 25mm axle like the 748/916/996 ?
So this means i can also go for the marchesini front wheel from a 916/996 ?
Will the marchesini 5 spoke wheels of a monster S4 or 900 fit the ducati 888 without modifications ?
Thanks in advance.

P.S : a picture of my recently bought 888 :)

Remember that part of the axel is larger than the part that actually goes through the bearings. Pull the axel to measure.

What he said, you have the right wheel as ling as the front is not a 17mm like the older bikes. If it is it is just a axle and nut swap to go up to the 20mm. no big deal.

Nice looking bike !

Remove the axle and measure the part that slides through the bearings (or measure the bearing ID itself.
