I ahve a 99 900ssie and I REALLY hate the position of the levers and I'm REALLY considering removing the locating pins so I can rotate the levers down. Is there any real drawback to this? I figure worst case they'll rotate out of place in an impact or something, but the clamps should hold against normal hand pressure. Anyone with experience? (I figure this is better/easier than grinding new grooves into the bars)
I have to reset mine each time I get it back from service... do and never look back... (first rule of Italian motor racing... What's behind... doesn't matter!!!)
