I'm thinking of purchasing a 2002 Ducati 748S. I'm a relatively new rider (this would be my second bike). Any riders out there have experience with this particular model? Thank you!

WHat do you want to know?

It´s a 916 style Ducati, has the 5 spoke wheels which is good, looks marvellous in grey with red wheels.

You should regear it, because on stock gearing it´s pretty damn slow.

Power should be enough for the street. Suspension is Showa all around, which can be made to work good with little effort.

Have fun.

yeah

I have an 01 S. Great bike despite what Tye says... They all need love... Fast enough for the street. Sounds great between 7 and 11k rpm's. Hates traffic. Ride the piss out of them. 853 kits are a must!

The titanium grey and red is a gorgeous color combo. I'd get one just based on the way it looks and throw the wife on it (to ride)...If I could find one!

The grey/red ones are pretty. There's been one on ebay for the last month--some nut has been trying to get $9k+.
