I've been mulling over this one too. I need to get Arizona plates on my 749, and Arizona only allows 5 characters.
ADIOS was taken, CHUCK was taken...that's about as far as I've gotten.

In Alberta we get 2 letters + 3 digits on bike plates.
I phoned around a bunch of registry offices till I found one that had a plate ending with 749.
