I have an offer for any DFW member than can come to my house and assist with a belt change on the 1198.
If someone will volunteer, I will feed a ribeye steak dinner, and free homemade bourbon.

Any takers?

I'm in Oak Cliff. If you are not too far I'd be happy to lend a hand. Just recently did the belts on my Streetfighter and 749.

Well I am serious, after we are done, I am grilling 2 in thick ribeyes and if you would like to try some superb bourbon, I am willing!
And of course, we have to post pics on the forum, of the party to make Scott jealous!

Normally, I would jump right on this. And as I was about to say, "When and where?", my 8 month pregnant wife kindly suggested for me to not offer. Her reason is valid, and I don't want to have the right side of your bike apart, belts off, tools (maybe a glass of bourbon) on the ground, to hear my phone ring b/c its delivery time and leave you stranded.

However, if you aren't too far off, I am in Plano, then I say perhaps we can do it. It shouldn't take too long as long as you have an app. for tuning the frequency of the belts.

What app do you recommend?

I think it was datatune that was once used. I didn't actually do it, I just help get the belts on correct ensured timing and ran. It turned out fine.

I think you will be fine with any android tuning app that is well reviewed. I brought up the app b/c it's not my bike. If it was mine I would do the 45 degree twist route.

Yeesh. I bet you were able to pick her up for a song though. I love trying to find deals like that. It saves a little money on the front end and I enjoy a good project. And during said project I always like to say my free time is free. lol

This bike was sitting in a barn for 9 years. Gas left in tank. Wasn't sure how many miles it had on it, and everything needing maintenance.
It was a mess, but before the Super Bowl it was running!

Stunning sound!
