Quick question:
Are all the airboxes interchangeable? 916 - 998? Most aftermarket companies lists fitment for 916/996 but sometimes leave out 998.

916/996 are different from the 998. They are 2 completely different engines for that matter, hints why the air box is different. Actually (someone will correct me if I’m wrong), the 996R has the 998 engine, which would mean, it shares the same air box as the 998 and not the 916/996.

Correct! Stuff that differs 996R and 998S comes down to minor head differences on the outside, inside the combustion is exactly the same indeed.
Base 998 will differ a lot from 996R, its a completely different engine.
Although their differences they all share the same airbox because throttle body and head material is the same.
916 have a different degree so its not applicable and 1098 yet another.

Thats is just the intakes, the 1198 engine will bolt into a Paso frame if you like, which is kind of neat, I have checked it out for real on a paso frame.
Possible build when I get old :) Then fool the young ones at the red light.
