So, I was glancing through the users manual the other day an it seems that you can change the head stock angle on the 748S and 998. But of course, the users manual is incredibly vague. Does this mean that i can change the angle of the forks and therefore the rake/ trail on my bike? I thought only 749R's could do that. If not, what is the purpose of the head stock eccentric? How is it used and how does one measure the adjustments made? Thanks.

You can change the steering head angle from 24 30 to 23 30. With stock setup this would result in a trail of 97 mm respectively 91 mm.
The steeper steering angle is called the "race" setting and you can't use the steering lock anymore and steering angle is reduced.
So you can pick one of those settings (no "in the middle" position or something).

Yes it means you can change it as the previous poster said. It is suggested by many that it be left on the 'street' setting though.
