I just got a new (to me) 1996 with the single pin front brembos and after removing the cotter pin that secures the single pin in, The pin won't budge!
Well, I can spin it, but can't push or pull it out.
I don't have a shop manual and am feeling pretty stupid. I've changed pads on my previous ducs but they're the 2-pin design.
Any tips on getting the pads out?

Hold the end of a racket or something against the inner side of pin, where you pulled the cotter pin out. Hit the wrench with a rubber/plastic hammer to drive the pin out. When you get the pin out you'll see why you can't just pull it out. It's sorta got an expanded part on the inside so it doesn't come out. I just did this the other day on my '96 916.

you can also use a drift or a nail set to tap on the pin to drive it through....the cotter pin is just a secondary backup!
