i recently swapped my ecu to a DP on my 999R 2005.

took the bike to the dyno (dynapro model) and the guy put the prompt at the exhaust holes to take measures of the a/f ratio! the readings showed very lean mixture and he shut the bike down.

when the new ecu was installed the mechanic didn't do any tps reset or other checks, so now i'm waiting for that to be done and after to check again the a/f!

question: if the prompt is screwed on the exhaust ports there will be some significant difference on the reading?

does the tps reset play SUCH a great difference on the correct a/f reading?
thanks

Ask your mechanic for the part # of the wide band lambda sensor used in his Dyno. Buy one and take it with you and have him use it in his dyno when tuning your bike. Usually they can be bought for 60-100$. They need to be replaced periodically as they become unaccurate over many heat cycles and if they have ever been exposed to a leaded race fuel.
