Hi all,

After a long winter of storage, with battery out.
Today installed a freash battery.

With Key on, fuel pump primes nicely, battery read 12.5 volts on the dash. Yet the key code symbol stays ON.

No starter relay chick, no nothing, acts like the starter system is disconnected, yet I've gone over everything.

Is the immobilizer somehow enacted? And if so how can I reset, the manual does not talk about this.

I have the red and black key

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Sounds to me like something is wrong. You need to check the immobilizer cable (the ring around the key slot) and then if all is well, you need to unplug the ECU and reseat those connections. Its a fault related to the immobilizer system and without having a matthias to read the codes, your kinda up shitz creek.

Is the Immobilizer ring around the key switch keyed to the ECU/Speed-o ???

I remounted the key switch last fall because of a 5.8 gallon Fuel-Cell and did not install the ring...... Not sure where it is??? Am I screwed?????

Thanks

the ring is in the plastic bezel that goes round the key switch, sounds like you have found the problem
