I would like to know your opinions. I don't do a lot of track time and have owned naked bikes - K1200R, Brutale, Monster.

I have both & it depends on what you want to do with it.

The SF is indeed faster than the 999 & will outgun it everywhere except on a track with lots of straights & when the speed reaches the 130 ish mark..

I am now going to sell my 999 even though i said i never would. I always go for the SF 1st..

You can however pick up a good 999 for good money, SF,s are still new & so it would not be a good idea to bin one as second hand parts are rare.

Street? Streetfighter! More comfortable.
Track? 999! My 999 was my track bike...fantastic! Hated it on the street other than everyone got all google eyed over it.

Streetfighter... Noticed your avitar with what appears to be a custom painted black 999R..

Would you mind sending me or posting pics of your 999R??

I'm really wanting to get a Black 999S, but the thought of a R excites me more, a black R would be incredible..

Thanks

Whoops sorry LaRossa... Typo'd and called you streetfighter.. My apologies..

Thanks for the pics.. Incredible machine..

In order to decide, I'm trying to find someone to let me ride their 999 S or R to make sure I really can gel with the bike before pulling the pin on purchase..

Beautiful bike and nice R, BUT way to much carbon showing for my taste.
It needs to be subtle and blend in.

Carbon is probably one of the best looking view in my opinion and as far as I'm concern, why cover it if you have it. The pics don't do it justice by the way, the bike's CF and paint flows very well, trust me. It was all done with another set of Carbon, the original nose, tank, tail, fender, they're all put away. :D
