HAAAA!!!! I did the same stupid thing with mine. What a PITA. Fortunately, mine was sitting there and I could get a pair of needle nose pliers on it. Spray with WD-40, then take your pliers and a small screwdriver and work it back into position. PITA, but I'm sure it took me less time than a tank removal and luckily I didn't mess anything up. Did you figure out the two fuel lines just snap on? Just squeeze the black connector thing and pull the lines off. The only fuel that leaks is out of the lines, not out of the tank.
I had asked the question before but never got an answer...what is the benefit of Q/D's??? Heck, I consider that factory connection a Q/D.
