The 749/999 fender mounts differently than the SC fender so it won't fit without either using 749/999 forks (which requires other changes also - triple, brakes, etc.) or making some sort of custom mount.

Has anyone tried 749/999 front fender on SC? I saw one bike with the 999 wheels had that front fender but I was wondering if I can just install the fender without doing wheel swap?
Yea, like ticktock said, the 749/999 holes line up differently. Only one hole-mount on the front piece and one on the rear piece, which doesn't line up to anything on our bikes. Another option is the 916 fender. I swapped out the originals on both my Sport Classics for the 916 fenders which closely resembles the 749/999.

I ran a CF 999 front fender on my Sport 1000 and thought it looked great. I was however running S4RS ohlins forks.
