Hey-
One of the opening rockers on my 998 is having some degradation. I was considering using Newman Cams in England to refurbish the culprit; any feedback on your experience with them would be appreciated.
Thanks

998 rockers were not prone to flaking unlike desmoquattro rockers. I would grab a used rocker and trust it just fine.

I am not familiar with Newman Cams in England but a refinished rocker should be fine also if done right.

In the past 10 years, I have only gotten a few requests to rechrome Testastretta rockers. One was for a 999 and the other a 1098R. It may be cheaper just to get a used rocker like Ducvet said.

Thanks Mike.
There is currently one used rocker on eBay for $150. for this motor
Newman will recondition this one for 37 pounds plus shipping.
Haven’t decided yet...
At any rate will be ordering shims from you soon.
