I just washed my bike and now I hear a clicking and the dash lights and the head lights come on. I think the the fuel pump is coming on two. This is all with the key in my pocket. I am wondering if I got some water in one of the replays or connector. Has anyone ever had this happed to them. Any ideas how to fix. I took the lead off the batery for now. I don't want to ride off into the night on its own.

Get the blow dryer out!!

You just got water in some sensitive spots. Next time don't hose the whole thing off. Use water sparingly and avoid sensitive areas. Dash, ignition, ecu, etc...

I'd just it let dry out over night, should be fine in the morning.

Same thing happened to me once, but it was my cooling fans that were turning on.

You fried a relay. Figure out what is turning on then check out the bike's electric diagram to pinpoint the relay, and replace it. You can test the relay by touching the connectors to a 9v battery (it should click).

Check the Yellow (at least it is yellow on a 916) relay by the battery.

Seems to be okay now. I let it sit in the garage all night with the AC running. Had to have gotten water in something. Did chaulk the tires though....just in case it went out for a midnight ride for itself.
