Hey Guys found this web sight about a week ago and have nothing but praise!!Great advice and reading.
I've owned my 996 since 2000. I bought it new and absolutely love it. Have considered getting a new one but I could never part with her.
I want to core my pipes. I have seen the article on another web sight and the only thing that concerns me is the back fireing and the popping sound.
Will this hurt anything?
I am looking for anyone else that has done this mod. I would like advice and/or suggestions about concerns or things you would do different.
Thanks Again.
Looking forward to meeting any of you guys at the INDY MOTO GP!!

welcome aboard, got any photos for us??

dropping back pressure makes the engine breath better, but without increasing the supply of fuel it will run too lean and pop, these bikes are already on the lean side to get through emissions so if you don't add a PCIII and some dyno time to get the mapping right or at least use one of the included maps you'll actually make less power and risk burning exhaust valves.
