Just bought a 916 and fixing it up for the summer in Switzerland. Any tips on cleaning the running light?
Only just figured out that one side is high beam the other a running light! Very early days with this bike for me!

The right side headlight is visibly yellow, I will obviously need to clean or replace this before the inspection. I'm sure I will be able to remove the unit, but anyone have tips on how to clean this? Thinking fairy liquid on the glass, perhaps T cut/ solvol Autosol? Perhaps spray on brake/clutch cleaner on the mirror? Or just leave the mirror as is?

Remove the projector and use a cleaning solvent and a long thin brush to get the hard stuff, then warm soapy water , rinse with water a few times, and finally rinse with alcohol so you won't end up with water spotting on the lens or reflective surfaces.

I have a document I created several years ago when I did mine... It covers the complete disassembly and lamp service procedure. I can send it to you if you are interested.
