I am replacing a fuel pump in a 916 that appears to have the original pump. The new pump looks a little different. The old pump had two screens. One was part of the pump on the bottom. The other was part of the rubber holder for the pump. The new pump does not have the first screen. It just has a hole on the bottom. It also cam with a plastic piece that was in a separate bag and a c-clip to connect it to the pump. The plastic piece connects to the bottom of the new pump. I can't tell if I use this or not and if I use the second screen.

Anyone else see this before?

No one has replaced a fuel pump on a 916? I can't believe that.....experts please!

hey just use the parts that came with the new pump, and use the plastic screen that goes over the rubber pump holder, the new pumps do not have the screen on the bottom of the pump,install the plastic part on the bottom of pump with the clip,
