Took the bike to work today and it started running lean.. popping back thru the carbs etc... It seemed to get worse on the ride home. I put a jet kit in about 1000 miles ago, and it's been running fine, wondering if some trash broke loose and is clogging a jet??

I'd be more apt to suspect the fuel filter (inside the gas tank), or the fuel filter in the fuel supply tee fitting between the carbs is clogging, or your tank vent check valve is gummed up.

If a jet were clogging, the symptom would more likely be running on one cylinder instead of overall leanness.

Yup, what Ray said. Not likely both carbs went south at the same time, so look for things that affect both carbs. That would be fuel supply, so check what Ray says.

The balance screw on one of the manifolds fell out one time on me and caused the same symptoms.

I put the new screw in with loctite and so far so good!
