It's been awhile since I've posted. My '95 900SS/CR was so damaged that I decided to toss the fairings and try giving it the cafe look. I wanted to make it easy, so I cut notches in the frame where it bends up (see picture 1 and 2), pushed down to level it out, then welded it solid. I bought the Phat seat and pad from DimeCity cycles and it gave me the look I wanted. I'm not going to change the tank, though I think the proportions are ok. I'll post pictures again when I get everything painted. Thought you all would like to see it!

That looks awesome. Do you have any pictures of the frame section from directly behind the rear? I'm trying to see what you did to join the points of the "sub"frame - is it just a straight bar or did you weld in a curved piece to match the profile of the tail hump?
