Im measuring my used valve with some carbon of course and at 107.65mm that is the best measurement i can get with my verniers. The seller says his measure 106.5mm. close enough? Regarding the length.

no. 748 valve are 1mm longer as the chamber is shallower and it's all the same blank machined differently.

only 92 851 and the sp are 33/29. earlier ones are 32/28.

figures my factory manual lists them all the same from 89 sport production through 888 sport production special of 92.

Yet when i go to my 89-90 manual (also factory) I get 32/28 as Belter said.

I will assume the ones listed back to 89 in the 92 manual are the "SP" series which makes sense.

There are/were shorter valves out there for thr 851/888 etc. to compensate for seat wear and they were 1mm shorter. FBF used to sell them. Might have originally been for the 748's
