Does any one now of were the model number for the gas tank is and what it would be? Is there any way to tell by a picture?

Hard as hell to see it in this photo. Called up the dealer and the only part number they can find points to the "short" model

No, I'm just looking for a replacement for my 1098. The new ones are shorter. I don't ever really want to sell this one.

you just missed FlyinQ's new tank in the classifieds. Asking only $500. That was a steal.
And I don't think you will have a choice in buying new.

Yep. When I googled Ducati sf tanks images it took my back to for sale items on this site. A day late a buck short. It was exactly what I was looking for. I've been looking for used ones to keep as a back up because mine is starting the expanding and if I give it to the dealer I'm getting the short model. I get a lot of compliments on the tank. I just wish they came factory coated from the beginning.
