hey guys after my mivv exhaust and pc3 installed the bike put down 100whp. no tq numbers is that a good number to be at and what does a stock 749 put down i know every bike is different but averages are good

Sounds decent for a standard 749. Stock HP is what, 115hp at the crank? Something like that?

Your 749 is putting almost the same power to the ground as the 916 was.

I had a 2005 749 with Remus slip ons and PC and it put down a solid 100 ponies at the wheel.

I think your pretty much right on the mark for a good 749

thats really not that bad, consider RC51's (1000CC) were making 115RWHP stock in that time period.

That is very good! My numbers are 106HP and 58ft-lbs at the wheel.
This is on stock 749 motor with a full 57mm Termi and RapidBike system. (6 hours of tuning)

Are all these numbers from a custom dyno tune? Meaning each cylinder was tuned.

I see so many people use a PCIII but I was recommended not to use it.

Stock 749 with a full system and mapping is about the same on my dyno.
Yes keep in mind not all dynos are the same, be sure to compare similar correction factors( sae,din,std,uncorrected) and if possible same brand of dyno.

Also know that different motors, "s" models will make more Hp in some cases and the 749 is one of those where the 749 may have different crank,light rods and hotter cams.

Depends on if it was mapped separately cylinderwise and the dyno hand, could be anything really.
What correction factor was used for the numbers? SAE yields the lowest numbers but the best readings from day to day.
No way to tell by the max number if its good or not, post the chart and some can be diagnosed.

An SPS usually lays117-123 rwhp

Thank you johnnie. I was struggling pretty hard with the 100HP. Your response was kinder than mine would have been. I would have responded with a, "No." But you beat me to the response.

I once did a 749 05 cam dialled in that laid 100hp SAE, so it certainly can in the Dyno I use with the 916SPS at 117.
Got the graph as I save all runs, I can overlay them for you.
Not even related the two, 749 will look awfully weak.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification....I wounder if he meant a standard 916 and not a SPS? It's a friends 916 (must be a fake "SPS") as that's what he said his was laying down on the same dyno.....sorry for the mis-post!

Pretty sure the highlighted portion is the reason. There's another person on the forum with a full-build AMA FX version putting down 140.
