Anyone ever change the angle on thier steering head? What exactly does it do? Is it as dangerous as the Haynes manual says if you run it on he street in race mode? Our local race track isn't exactly picture perfect smooth.
Also, is there a maintenance schedule for changing the oil in the forks? Judging from the way the rest of my bike was cared for by the previous owner I doubt anything was ever done.

Changing the steering head angle will upset high speed stability and could be dangerous. If you added a set of 27mm-30mm offset triple's, that would resolve any issues like that.

I think every 2 years, you should change the fork oil. Its not a big job, just need to know the proper amount you'll need to put back in, thats all. Most people don't do this very simple operation and especially on old OEM forks, it will make a difference right away.
