Anyone have a procedure for changing the oil in the forks of a 748? Haynes manual just tells you how to rebuild them. Is it necessary?

I am also curious if this is necessary or not.. My '01 748 just passed the 15,000 mile mark and I really dont want to start doing that intense of maintenance unless it is truly beneficial enough. Thanks for the input.

It's been two years since I did mine, but as I remember the Haynes manual has enough information to do it. You just don't replace things - you only take them apart, get the oil out, put the new oil in, and put them back together.
