My new swing-arm arrived after long awaited anticipation and thought I would share some pictures with the group.

It increases the length by 20mm.

Awesome we can still get these!!

It's easier to get the longer swingarms than the longer chain rubs and chainguards that go on them!

Looks like you will need to file the welds down to get the chain sliders to sit flat too.

I guess they just cut n shut the original arms.

Chain guards and rubs already picked up.
Once installed I'll update the photos.

Duc, I've got one of the same swingarms.
Where did you get the longer chainguard and chain sliders?

Where can other people get one, and does it need the same pivot/rocket that the mag arm needs?

Thanks for posting.

I have a Multistrada swinging arm sitting next to a 748 arm in the garage. It's about 20mm longer. If it's of any interest.

Longer chain guard picked up from Motowheels and chain sliders are stock OEM from Gotham Cycles x 2.
Chain guard bolts right in to existing holes, but the sliders required splicing to achieve the longer length. Two top and two bottom were required.

pics coming soon. Replacing bearings at the moment before bolting back in place.

Cool. I'd like to see how you accomplished the splices... :)

Clean the arm real good to remove any grease or dust
Cut two pieces of stock chain guard @ different locations to get the added length
splice with a piece of safety wire
Apply some Black Strong Waterproof Adhesive Double Sided Foam Tape ( locations near welds will need 2 layers to make level ) (Do Not File Welds Down )
From Film on tape and apply, screw into place

Pics of the top chain rub and Carbon guards installed coming soon

Or... you could just model an updated guard and then 3D Print one and not deal with all that splicing BS... ;)

I like that idea and will be implementing once these are worn out and in need of replacement.
The 3-d printing is only getting more and more affordable.

Guess I should ask for orders and buy in bulk?

If you can get me the dimensions, center-center for mounting holes, etc. I'll model it for you and then give you the model in several neutral formats that you could use for printing.
