I like the look of the 5 spoke wheels and have found several single rears available on ebay and other places.

Are there any issues with swapping the rear and leaving the stock 3 spoke on the front?

I assume that the mechanics of the swap are easy enough considering the SS swing arm but I was wondering about weight and handling...

Any thoughts?

i cant imagine there would be any serious side effects of doing this. Although i say just wait till you can get both and do it.

I have a 5 spoke Marchesini Wheel on Back and a 3 spoke brembo on front. I have had no adverse effects at all. The rear 5 spoke is I believe 1/4 inch wider than the stock brembo.

The three spoke wheels are old school.
The best thing I ever did was switching and dumping my three spoke wheels. I'm presently using PVM forged wheels, handles a ton better, and of course the looks.
But even the stock five spokers are cool!

See if you can score a set of magnesium ones in the 6" size. They show up on ebay every now and then... Very light and make a WORLD of difference in how your bike feels...
