Hi All - new 1260s owner and want to change my seat. The Corbin website does not list a 2018 seat, however when I spoke to them they mentioned that if a 2017 seat fits on a 2018 seat, then theirs would.

Has anyone tried or know this?

Thanks,
Csimon

I haven't tried it, but I am thinking about it. I call the seat on the multi the Taint Buster.

I am currently working on making my own seat, but it is much harder than I expected...shaping foam looks easy on YouTube, but is a real pain.

I’m on Ducati Island at the WSBK race at Laguna Seca. Looking at the seat on the 1260, it appears to be quite a bit different than the seat on my 2016. I’ll see if I can confirm with one of the Ducati people working the booths.

Dunno. Spent some time looking and maybe it is the same pan. The profile is a little different for sure. No one in the booth seems to know for sure and there isn’t a 1200 here for comparison.

Thanks for checking. My shop put a new Touratech 2017 on my 2018 and it fit perfectly, so I am assuming the answer is they do. The Touratech was better than stock, but not good enough for me. I ordered a Corbin and we will see how it fits.

Isn't Corbin a one piece seat? If yes, how you can get in on/off a bike? From what I see on 1260:
The front (rider) seat slides forward, the rear (passenger) seat slides backward and then locks at the front. How you can install single piece seat? It's simply impossible to slide one-piece saddle forward (to engage front mountings) and backward (to engage rear mountings) at the same time??!!??

My last corbin slid into the locks in front, then had the locking pin that went into the hole, and there was no tab in the back. The seat is about 560 lbs. and is rock solid without the tab, being a one piece seat.

Ah, ok. So, Corbin does not have rear tab....
And yes, I remember (had Corbin on my BMW K1200S), it's crazy heavy!

Having just posted the same question I saw this thread (should have searched!) I am going to Corbin UK next week, they don't know if the 1200 seat fits the 1260, so I am taking my bike to them to see if it does. I will get back with the answer.

I can confirm that the 1200 Corbin seat fits on the 1260, I just put one on my bike.
