Does the standard S model do well offroad in enduro mode as the Enduro? I am trying to understand the case for the Enduro model because I almost bought one but didn't want the 50 extra lbs.

The Enduro has 19 inch front wheel, narrower rear rim conventional swing arm, leading axle forks, different steering geometry, wider bars, steering damper, smaller brakes, different fork and shock settings, longer suspension travel and different ergonomics that I can think of.

The heavier weight on the enduro won't matter, you will be picking up a 1200s in the bush more than a 1200 enduro just saying.

Good luck they are both great bikes, if you are serious about off road touring maybe a Honda Africa Twin is the bike, or just buy both the Multistrada Ha Ha.

The Multistrada enduro is a different bike... the 2015 enduro PACK is just some bolton stuff that adds protection but not performance. Non-enduro Multi’s are not good offroad... and are only good on dirt roads that are in good shape.
