My plugs are currently gapped near 0.9 mm. The manual calls for 0.6 or 0.7 mm. The plugs were a healthy tan, fairly free of deposits & no running issues. i was gonna decrease the gap to spec, but why should I. Does the gap spec increase if one is running power commander, sbk muffler with baffles removed & k&n air filter?

Thanks for the info Strega & Belter. I have to assume my larger gap was deliberate & will keep it that way. The search function on the site is not well or I am not good with it.

Yup, the widest gap that runs smoothly is what you want. Honestly though, I’d go with the spec gaps just from a reliability perspective. The performance difference is going to be small in either case.
