I got the female ones out of the tank easy enough. When I went to get the male fittings out it appears that the stock hoses have the fittings integrated into the hose itself. In other words a plastic hose with the fittings integreated into it covered by a rubber hose sheath. How do you get around this. Complete new hose? Cut the fittings off the stock hose and slide the new metal ones on? Please help. Also, how do you know which hose plugs into which fitting? Will the bike run if you get them reversed?

I'm pretty sure I replaced the hoses with new ones.
It doesn't matter which way you connect it.

At least, that's how I've been running my bike for the last year

It will work even if fittings are reversed.
If you can, could you take pics of these mods?

Fuel fittings. I am assuming you have purchased the metal replacement QD fuel fittings. The ones i had I had installed the ones in the fuel pump by disassembling the lever and using a socket. Then reassembling the lever. The lines I had replaced the entire line. with a rubber line. If I remember they were originally marked. I have not had any problems to date with the rubber or hardware.
