MY CARB EDUCATION CONTINUES...
As an experiment (and because I really don't know any better) I removed the small, plastic air canister filters in the 2 vacuum hoses connected to the 38mm Mikuni carbs, after learning they were blocked. (One totally, the other, very much so.)
Now, I can only start her and run her with choke.
When I try to lower the idle with the choke off, she backfires and snorts like a pissed off calf.
Are those little filters are more important than I thought, or do I just have an air leak from not tightening something down...
Fully unrestricted vacuum lines mean waaaaaaaaaaay too lean???
