Tried to squeeze this in on another post, but no answer...

Anyone know the specs on the "side" light bulb for the 1999 900SS. Manual just has "5W". The receptor has two flat prong slots.

I haven't seen any like this as gas stations, but dread having to trek to Seattle just for the bulb. Autozone or Schuck's maybe? Any ideas or know of a bulb style that fits?

Thanks!

when you say side light what bulb are you talking about. My 900ss doesn't have any lights on it's sides. Are you talking about the turn signal bulbs?

I use the term "side" light loosely as it's called a sidelight, but its actually located above the main headlamp. It's just a small 5W flat pronged bulb. I picked one up at the auto parts store (2 for $2). It was never installed since I bought my bike, and honestly never even knew about it until I noticed a line on my Hayne's electrical diagram and then pulled the whole headlight assembly. Check it out...
