Price: $8500
Location: Wakefield, MA

All original Cagiva fairings with 5768 miles. Very good condition. Just paid a mechanic to check major systems and put in new plugs and change oil/filter.. I am not sure of when the belts and valves were done last. Starts, runs, and drives just as it should.

Was tough to get great photos with the snow. If you send me an email I will take nicer photos as soon as possible.

Yeah its from taking a mirror off. $150-$200 fix for any painter/plastic welder. Had it for a few years.

There is the NADA value's --yours would probably fall into the Very Good to Good range--due to the cracked fairing

Heisenberg is a good seller in the forum. Have done business with him and he knows these bikes well. Region is a huge factor in price as well. Massachusetts, near Boston is going to fetch you a higher price than some place where Ducs aren't as popular. New England area has $$$

Good point Abbott, and the miles are very low. Since 916's were recently deemed collectible, I'm seeing a lot of ''Varese built'' regarding their desirability and I believe that's only true of the '94, '95 models. Where were they built after that; Bologna? I recall that every year the 916 received on-going functional upgrades. So no doubt the '97 is a better machine than an early one. $8500 is a bit rich, imo. But the seller is entitled to ask what he wants.

except the 97 may have fallen into the flaking rocker problem (possible) that the 94 and 95 and early 96 models escaped.

Y'all should read the rules of classifieds. Price should never be quivelled about. The man sets his price, if you are a potential buyer, you and only you should negotiate. Instead what we have here, is nonsense based on another's opinions. I made a comment that may have been misconstrued. I apologize to seller for fuckin up his thread.
Bike appears to be solid and mostly original. Seller can ask whatever he wants. Just because you wouldn't pay it does not mean someone else wont. Carry on
