I wonder if someone can offer advice on that: my bike has 2 different types of ignition modules (for lack of a better term for these boxes) - one says "Ducati Performance" and the other is literally a black box devoid of any markings. I am assuming (at least) one of them was replaced over the years, just not sure which one, and if the DP one is some sort of an upgrade.

I am trying to get my back on the road, and am trying to work out exactly what needs to be done to get it to factory spec.

Brad Black will likely have a better answer but, long ago, there were two versions available from GIO.CA.MOTO/DP with alternate timing curves from stock. This, at least for the 900. Having mismatched modules isn't likely to help performance. The unmarked one is likely an OE part with the label gone missing.
