It’s finally here! It took Haulbikes over a month to deliver it but it’s here and safe. Won’t be using them again for shipping…

I’ll be posting more here as the build goes along but the tear down already started last night after I ripped around the neighborhood a few times first. It’s a total blast to ride and am so excited to get going on it!

I agree with BullDog, that motorcycle deserves a full restoration, Restore it to exactly as it was when shipped from the Factory. It will look amazing & it will make you smile everytime you go in the garage & see it. And it will make other people envious when they see you riding it.

Funny, the older I get the more I understand restorations and really appreciate them. I could see myself restoring this Dianna. Which is pretty amazing considering my old man owned a street rod/hot rod shop. I grew up chopping tops and customizing old cars. Which carried over in my taste in motorcycles. But more and more I find myself preferring original restorations. 🤔

Very, very sweet.

I can recommend using a piece of wood underneath the center stand while refurbishing it. It not only protects the linoleum but also absorbs some of the fluids.

You are going to work on it in the kitchen, right? That is where everyone does their bevel single work, right?
Is that supposed to be funny?

I had a Diana and a 200 Monza back in the day! Really cool for that era. The Diana had clips and the Monza's had handlebars.

There were a lot of timing marks on the gears to line up to set the timing, bet I could still do it today!

The trouble with singles is they always feel like they're running on one cylinder
