Could anyone here please measure the fork tubes where they come out of the upper triple clamp

please
Trying to figure out what the difference is in the upper clamp from a 1200 DVT to a 1260 DVT

different part numbers

I doubt that a change in the angle would be done by modding the clamps; it's more likely to be done with the head angle of the frame. The part number difference could be something as simple as an extra hole.

Yea trying to fit an upper triple that fits a 15-17 multi. “Does not fit “ the 19 pikes peak
The lower clamp is the same part number
The bar mount is the same part number
The upper fork hole on the new clamp is 57mm and the best I can tell the forks on the bike are 57mm ( hard to get great measurement on the bike )
Think it just might be the Steering locking mechanism

Hmmmmmmmmm

Can anyone out there with a 17 dvt take picture of the steering locking pin mechanism for me. I don’t even use the lock
Might just get the clamp and see
Kind of like this
Kind of hard to see
The part I see that looks wrong is the locking “flange” on the new part is thinner or lower in relation to the pin on the frame that moves out of its housing

2015 multi

Mine is on the trailer right now, and my calipers won't reach in there to get a measurement in it's current position.
I tried 🤷‍♂️

Took it off the trailer and measured as best as I could. I got 56.78mm

Looks like it should be 57mm.

To take a perfect measurement, I would need the calipers to be horizontal instead of vertical, and that's just not possible. I tried to get direct center as best as I could 🤷‍♂️

Here is a pic of the locking mechanism.

It’s 57 :) Same on the 1260
Can I ask what this is for ? Does it spread the “ arms “ on either side
I don’t have that bolt on mine
I just checked. It does.

It has a nub on the bottom that makes contact with the plastic arms underneath when you turn the handlebars left and right and moves the plastic arms.

I have no idea what the plastic arms do. 🤷‍♂️

Flux capacitor I bet
Makes the bike super fast

I don’t have plastic arms now I feel Robbed :)
I ordered the upper clamp so going to find out if it fits or not
If not someone will get a good deal on a “ used” part

I reckon the plastic arms would be for measuring steering angle for the cornering ABS.

I don't have plastic arms either but if I did I could lend you a hand.
