Hi All,
This started a while ago where the 1100 would start and die after idling for a couple of minutes.
The time decreased to the point where it would die after a few seconds if not given a few revs.
Both lamba sensors are recording low and bring up the engine check light. I'm getting a reflash to delete
lamba sensors instead of replacing them.
I wouldn't have thought the lamba sensors would have any impact on the fueling at low rpms so
have been thinking if a temp sensor has packed it in.
The bike has 74,000 kms on it and just had belts and valves done.
Intake is WASP stacks/pod filters and full Termi with PCV
I even set the fueling on the PCV at minus 20 at idle to see if it made any difference and it improve it slightly.
Both spark plugs look the same, very sooty.
Kms per tank is down by around 10%.
Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks,
David.

Have you tried the simple basics, cleaning the air filters and running some injection cleaner ?

Hi All,

Finally got to the bottom of this fault but not without changing a few sensors
Changed the TPS and Lambda sensors as both were registering fault codes but neither made any difference to the running issues.
Finally found that the very small tubes that connect the pressure sensor to the intake tubes had splits in them at each end.
Replaced the tubes and refitted the PCV and every thing is back to its best

Interesting to note I had the injectors tested to verify their operation and the report came back that both were still as new after 75,000 kilometres

Hopes this helps anyone with the same initial problems.

And if your bike is the same age as mine change the little tubes now.

Regards,

David
