This is my new bike, just bought it few days ago. Termignoni slip ons - TSE ECU as you can see, i must reflash it i know, but still, i have some questions.

I just changed the battery with a brand new Yuasa ytx12b-bs (like spec)

Ducati 1098 cold start - YouTube

My questions:

1. does it crank heavily or i m just used to my ex 749 which required less energy to rotate at start?
2. why does it fire so late? after 4 turns or so? spark plugs..?

Crack the throttle open a hair when cranking it up. Works for me.

It seems to be normal, maybe seems like you dont have enough voltage from the battery, but otherwise sounds fine. Ive had my 1098 not start for 6 or 8 turns or so when it was cold. After its been on for a minute it most always starts right up after a turn or two.

after some investigations it seems that i'm just a mowing sissy :D

it's too cold outside. 9 deg. celsius.
besides that the 749 had that 'choke' which helped a lot.

my battery is new.
