I have a slipper clutch on my 1098 and have noticed upon too aggressive take off, the clutch will make a terrible grinding/screech and the bike will loose forward momentum. I really have to make a conscious effort to baby the clutch from a stand still to avoid. Once going, it's game on as usual with no issues.
Down shifts are fine as well regardless of speed (slipper doing it's job when required).
What's going on here? Is this a sign that the clutch is coming to the end of it's life?
Thx for any feedback.
