So yes I have pulled the instrument cluster off to install the lower location peg and clip that holds the cluster wiring plug in place. I did not remove the plug. I have just ridden to work and the bloody rev counter is now reading about 250 rpm higher than normal and the needle is shaky not dead smooth like it was before. I pulled the dash again and wiggled the plug while the bike was idling and absolutely no change :(

What you guys reckon could be the problem??

Cheers,
nick
Oh and I mean ReV counter Doh! no reading spectacles here at the moment.

PS could the peg that was previously missing be slightly out of line so causing pressure on part of the cluster? no wait when the dash was pulled it still shook
