'99 & later ST2 and '04 & '05 ST3 exhaust question...

Hey all you lucky devils with a '99 or later ST2 or an '04 or '05 ST3!

Jeez that's wordy... but I'm trying to be specific, oh, and yes I searched first with no results.

If you remove your pipe(s) completely from the crossover/pivot joint, and look at the inlet, is it double walled with a small gap between the walls? And is the crossover pipe outlet also double walled with the same small air gap?

Thanks.

I do believe the crossover pipe is double walled, but that is my best memory. My slip on fittings (non OEM) are not.

That's what I suspect, non oem are single walled and fit over the outer wall of the cross over.

Man I guess this group is afflicted with C.R.S. (can't remember sheet) 'cause I know they're not all paying the shop to swap their pipes. It's just too damned easy to do on these bikes! :p Well at least I'm not alone with the C.R.S.

I assume you dont have the stock pipes for your bike, Jay, to see if the inlets are double walled.
