Decided to replace the black nose vent trim w/ some carbon fibre ones. I got them fom Germany and fit perfectly, however the new parts make very little contact w/ the fairing. I was just going to run bead of clear silicone adhesive and see what happens.
Any other tips for installation.

You are on the right track, large strip of silicone will do the trick.
They will also fit over the stock plastic once but leave a small gap.
