What are some of the dealer prices in your area on 03-05 749s and 999s models. Motoprimo in minneapolis has an 04 brand new on the floor and they are asking 19,999 plus setup and tax. Out the door price would be close to 22,000. im not sure if i want to jump to a 999, i think a 749s would be a nice upgrade from my current bike. I am selling my 02' 748 and i want to jump up to a newer duc. I live in sioux falls sd so my location isnt so great when trying to find ducatis for sale. just trying to see what is out there. thanks

You might consider looking for a good used bike from a private party...I've bought and sold 4 bikes off Cycletrader.com with great success.
Last summer I bought an '05 999S with 3000 miles on it, a boat load of extras (PCIII, Speedy Moto triple clamp, ProItalia billet pieces, 2 Dainese jackets, fr & rr Pitbull stands, Cycle Cats rearsets and levers, Scorpio alarm, cover, on and on...) for $17,000. (After I bought it for $18,000, I sold the jackets and some of the spare parts that came off it on e-bay for $1000)

and when I was in the market last year to buy with cash in hand they kept giving me the run around on price. I would not even buy a oil filter from that Horse Sh*T shop if they ever had one in stock. I find it hard to believe that they can't even stock a simple oil filter.....
