History
Originally built as a BEARS race bike in 1989 (TT2 replica), running a std 650cc Alazzurra motor from a Cagiva 650SS (dry clutch,) using the stock AZ (Pantah) wheels, brakes, front-end & basic electrics. A very successful BEARS racer, competing against NZ's top BEARS bikes of the time (ie. Britten V1000), coming in 4th overall in the BEARS open class against the Britten at the NZ round of WSBK meeting at Manfield NZ. Circ 1992 I repowered the bike using a rebuilt 750 Paso motor & fitted with Upside-down front-end, brakes. Winning both the F2 & Superstock Ltd (0-750cc) classes at the annual 'Sound of Thunder' meeting 2002 & 2004. The bike weighs in at 135kg with 3 litres of fuel (+100 Av-gas) on board. The motor is close to std, with a few tuning & lightening mods carried out on the motor.
