  1. Check engine light after replacing fuel sensor.

    Multistrada
Another possible issue is that a pin got bent over on the clip
  2. 2014 Monster 1200 - No fork movement

    Monster
"Pitbull"....best stand out there. Bought mine from RevZilla
  3. Making skyhook suspension harder

    Multistrada
I want to chime in and say you don't want it hard...your goal should be keeping the fork travel off the bottom...if it doesn't move...it will not grip when you need it...so if your slamming into the bottom..then yes to stiffer springs...if not, your only increasing the likely hood of loosing the...
  4. Need insight--1098 flywheel/magnet-8 bolts sheared off

    Superbikes
A high cyclic fatigue in a bolt would be sudden... but it is the accumulation of many many stresses....those add up pretty quick In a motor that revs to 10k rpm And unless he parked next to an MRI you could rule out a magnetic force...but if the barrel was out of balance in some way...over time...
  5. 2012 monster 1100 Evo traction control not working

    Tech Forum
I've looked around...lots of others with the problem...nobody referencing any solutions...few curiosities tho...you have one of the first gen DTC bikes...how worn is the rear tire in comparison to the front? The current iteration of DTC works on wheel spin percentages and activates more and more...
  6. 821 exhaust headers different color

    HyperMotard
I've backed off from using it excessively...and stopped completely around town...but I'll still rely on it banging around in the twisties...I've been walnut blasting my intake valves every 9k miles or so which has worked remarkably well in keeping the valves from failing..havent had to go into...
  7. Engine noise

    Tech Forum
The apps are a mixed bag..you need everything be quiet but only for a few seconds to get a straight read...I've been using "chord detector zax" for years now...there's probably better...but I've had good results with that one
  8. 821 exhaust headers different color

    HyperMotard
I fried my exhaust valves by 26k miles but started having problems by the first valve service...this is not normal...then they began to fail again at 52k miles...it's been a very long road getting to the bottom of it...long story short; I use to engine brake everywhere...every stop...every...
  9. 2012 monster 1100 Evo traction control not working

    Tech Forum
If the abs still works you can rule out the sensors at the wheels...pretty sure the TC is controlled in the BBS...which is paired to the dash... which would need a dealer visit to make work properly
  10. 821 exhaust headers different color

    HyperMotard
Is it randomly overly obnoxiously loud on engine braking?...it looks like your exhaust valve isn't closing...need to take a look up the exhaust port...to find which one exactly...
  11. 2018 1200s parts on a 2014 1200s?

    Monster
If you used all of those parts together they should work...not 100% sure on any changes to the tank...but the seat was made narrower where it meets the tank ...the subframe will only work with the 2018 rearsets... I'd go for it
  12. Engine noise

    Tech Forum
Im leaning heavily to too tight....before you make any adjustments...check what frequency they're tuned to now...room temperature of course...a poorly tensioned belt isn't necessarily catastrophic...but it is an annoyance
  13. Engine noise

    Tech Forum
If it is indeed belt related...once your engine is at the uncomfortable stuck in traffic kinda hot... they will make noise regardless of tension
  14. Engine noise

    Tech Forum
Give it throttle...does the whirring go away or just get louder...if it goes away I'd say your belts are too tight...if it gets louder I would lean towards a bearing... Belt tension how to... https://www.ducatimonster.org/index.php?posts/3080673
  15. 2014 Monster 1200 - No fork movement

    Monster
I think if you can adjust your chain...change the oil...you would be able to do most if not all maintenance processes...eventually... for the forks, you need a good paddock stand to hold up the rear...a car jack to support the front...a torque wrench to put it all together...this monster is very...
  16. 2014 Monster 1200 - No fork movement

    Monster
Don't think of it as a problem per se...it's just something that can get tuned to a rider's request...nonetheless; your likely long overdue for the fork oil to be changed anyway...might as well do it while it's lousy outside...I'd flush the brakes and clutch while your in there too
  17. 2014 Monster 1200 - No fork movement

    Monster
A zip tie on the fork tube will give you a concrete data point to work with...hanging a GoPro off the side is even better...what part of SC are you in? There's a few internal changes that can be made to give more movement...fork oil weight and air gap...more confidence with the front brakes...
  18. New Monster 1200S color choice

    Monster
Red is the only color for a Ducati But I can appreciate the non-discript grey when dealing with authorities...and the hi viz yellow if your never leaving the city Personally I want mine to be fast...not obscene...not particularly memeroble ...if I could put a Russian hat on and hit the...
  19. Current best belt tension tool/app for Testastretta belts ?

    Superbikes
For the record I spent the 50.00 and rented the Ducati tool...while it did not register the background noise like a guitar tuner app did... ultimately it was the same frequency detected... Now for some specifics...if your cam pulleys aren't loosend then your never going to be spot on...if your...
  20. MONSTER 821 – KEEP ALIVE MEMORY TEST FAILURE

    Monster
I think your over looking everything...I think your too dependant on software...I think you forgot to reconnect the fans...if not the fans another clip...stop...take a breath...go step by step...your error only exists in the software your using...before you embark...have a nice cup of...
