  1. Cannonball Run Record broken !

    Chit Chat
I read this dudes book, pretty cool to see what's all involved in trying to do this. Quick fun read. If anyone else has any books about dudes who do shit like this you can recommend would be cool! https://www.amazon.com/Driver-Dangerous-Pursuit-Outlaw-Racing/dp/0061374997
  2. WTB: Ducati 998S Ben Bostrom

    Bikes
Fair enough, and good info all around. They were growing super fast, so maybe shit got out of hand. I don't know, they sell nothing I can afford. I hope to buy a daily ride ZX7 someday, lol, but that's not what you are talking about. For the types of bikes they sell, I would expect a flawless...
  3. WTB: Ducati 998S Ben Bostrom

    Bikes
ewww. that's disappointing to hear! I am just a fan of cool bikes, they are close to me and have a lot of cool bikes! The things Adam (the main guy I think) says about Mecum and stuff make sense, I've seen those auctions. I see all the posts of them working on the bikes, and I've been in the...
  4. WTB: Ducati 998S Ben Bostrom

    Bikes
Check out iconicmotorbikes.com They have had, do have, or will have one and it will be stellar! Great dudes...I wish I had money to spend, but I just go into their shop to see the killer bikes

    Ducati Motorcycle Chat
First Ducati.....where are the pictures, we know there are pictures.
  6. First bike, 2000 M750 - How does a new rider approach a 19 year old Ducati?

    Monster
Congrats on that bike, my first Ducati was a M750 carb'd Monster, 01 I believe. There is no better Ducati entry point than an Air Cooled 2V'r!! The bike looks REALLY clean in the single photo, and it sounds like your gonna do more to it than it probably requires. I'd do belts, check the valves...
  7. 95'CR build, in a parking garage & inexpensively!

    Supersport
Ahh cool, so it's old enough to be rebuldable, that's good news.
  8. Tesla Truck (or should it be Yuk!)

    Chit Chat
I just smoked a small joint, and here's my opinion. :) I think it's perhaps not a truck for "consumers" but a truck for fleets? I can see it being super popular with police forces and small governments. With it's huge slab sides, you can paint POLICE real large, I'm sure you can configure all...
  9. Where to get new parts. lol worst question ever but need help

    Supersport
Ok, thanks for all the info guys. That all makes sense and is logical. It's the oldest bike I've ever owned that was, I guess....not generic. Was pretty easy getting parts for a 69 Suzuki GS750. I don't know what 900ss SPECIFIC shit I need, I'm missing an exhaust spacer and thought I'd take a...
  10. Where to get new parts. lol worst question ever but need help

    Supersport
So I wanted to order some parts for my 95 900ssCR, so I got all my part numbers, and then went and input them into Ducati Omaha. Eeach number returned many many results, most cost 0.00 and weren't available, then there were various others that might be it or might not or I don't know. ANyone...
  11. Red 1000s numbers made for the US

    Sport Classic
I said they are the most rare :) But it's just a paint job, it's not a full rare bike. And over time, those bikes just don't carry the collector value of their more rare mechanically gifted counterparts, if that makes sense. What's a Matrix 998 or a Diesel Monster worth these days? The entire...
  12. Red 1000s numbers made for the US

    Sport Classic
I believe the red or black biposto S are the most rare...not counting the SE. But it's a worthless rarity imo. Rare SC are the 06 Sport 1000 and the PS. I paid 9k for my 1000s with 26k miles or so and a good service record. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. 95'CR build, in a parking garage & inexpensively!

    Supersport
Well I woke up feeling like crap so I got to go do a bit of work. Pulled the rear caliper, pads look fine. Cleaned it up in a hot soapy ultrasonic bath. The bolts are gnarly, but they'll have to do for now. I got a good bolt source so I'm gonna make a big order I think. Anyone know if say, all...
  14. 95'CR build, in a parking garage & inexpensively!

    Supersport
Ahhh ok interesting. So looking toward the front of the bike.....the negative I'm seeing (which I believe comes off the solenoid thing that dangles under the airbox, must confirm) would be sandwitched at the airbox mount...so that the ground is sandwitched between locknut and welded on nut which...
  15. Yellow 95' SS BiPosto Bodywork

    Parts and Accessories
Detail pics of the seat with the pin. The staples are rusted, and on the leading edge corers by the frame, it's a little worn. There are no rips or tares on the smooth upper surface. I have not in ANY way tried to clean this seat.
  16. 95'CR build, in a parking garage & inexpensively!

    Supersport
AwhhhhRight AwhhhhRIGHT awhhhhhhRIIIIIIIGHT. I worked from home today, so I was able to go down and work on the bike!!! First problem, there is a broken off bolt inside the boss the Triangle Vent Canisters would normally connect. So I had enough hose to run the 2 vent hoses from the brass...
  17. 95'CR build, in a parking garage & inexpensively!

    Supersport
Well a Dallas Cowboys loss got me down I to the garage in anger. But it was getting dark so all I could do was install the calipers....anti sieze on the Ti bolts and I should be good. With my clip ons the brake lines are a wee bit long but I suppose it will be fine. I'm pretty happy with all...

Here are the seats, the seat with the pin is in better condition overall, underneat there are some ugly colors on the plastic. The seat without a pin has some wear you can see in the photos of the back area, the rest of the seat is in perfect condition
