  1. 1000ds engine in a 01 SSie

    Supersport
My project stagnated as I ended up playing with my old Brit stuff and Soviet sidecar. Guzzidiag has DXF and BINs for bikes with the DS motor. My plan was to copy the Igniton map for the SS1000 after looking at which load sites match and using an educated guess for the rest. That should get it in...
  2. Guzzidiag for mapping the 15M ECU and 5x?

    Supersport
The benefits of global warming old son.
  3. Guzzidiag for mapping the 15M ECU and 5x?

    Supersport
OK, I'll try and remember the name of the latest map. I'll also try and explain my 'base set-up of the TPS & injector balancing. I'll try to get on it tonight but I may end up rebuilding my Triton motor - far too many projects!
  4. Guzzidiag for mapping the 15M ECU and 5x?

    Supersport
No, it is a made up motor with multistrada guts in 999 copa bosa crankcses. You have to drill some new oilways and relieve the crankcases so a conrod doesn't touch. It will be interesting to see if it was worth the effort!
  5. Guzzidiag for mapping the 15M ECU and 5x?

    Supersport
Punch, On the map I did for my 900SSie I replaced the acceleration map in the DP.bin with the one from the standard bike. It was nicer around town and the fuel economy was much better. I was planning to merge the standard and DP acceleration maps to make a hybrid with standard say under 6000rpm...
  6. Valve Job...valve life

    Ducati Motorcycle Chat
Some questions: Are your valve guides and seals original or do you replace them? If they ahve been replaced then did you re-cut the valve seat? Have you checked for wear in the valve guides? Rocking them forward and back and then side to side will give a clue. Do you re-check the valve...

  13. Speedo drive 1000ds

    Supersport
I'm in the middle of doing this . Any tips on remapping the ECU would be appreciated. I plan to use the 900SSie ECU and make up some maps using an SS1000DS or Monster S2 .bin as a basis.
  14. Anybody able to help with SS1000DS bin file

    Tech Forum
Well that's my MTS 1000ds based motor built and ready to go in my 93 900SS. Now I need to sort out a map. I'll be using the 900SS IAW15M ECU. What I need now is a bin file for either an SS1000DS or an Monster S2 with the IAW59M ECU so that I can transpose the values into the 15M maps to get me a...
  15. Desmo Stick Coils

    Superbikes
Yup, someone was after longer stick coils to use on a Testastretta motor in a Superbike if I remember. These might fit.
  16. Desmo Stick Coils

    Superbikes
OK, here's the Triumph stick coil details. They are like the Kawasaki ones but are longer and made by Denso. They are from a triple but I can't remember which. Pt no. - 129700-4250-10425. They also have 07H14 stamped on. They are 140mm long and fit plugs with the threaded terminal. Hope this helps.

Having difficulty finding which box I put the Triumph stick coils in! This might take some time.
  18. Will the Ducati 999 be a collector's bike in the future.....

    Superbikes
I'm sure they said the same about horses!
  19. Desmo Stick Coils

    Superbikes
I've got some longer stick coils of the same type in the garage from a Triumph. I'll measure them up. They might be better for the Testastretta.
  20. Desmo Stick Coils

    Superbikes
Nicely done Namor. Threeish years down the road and mine are still working fine. Your experiences reflect mine. Even you sense that the bike was better but not sure if it's your imagination.
