  1. Did I read that right?... Streetfighter V4S - 208HP!!

    StreetFighter
Thanks DaveK and SS, I was pretty far off. Ya, a quick check shows a gallon of gas at 6 lb. Interestingly, it is a well known mechanic who told me 60, and another well known source who told me 8 lb per gallon. Ill send him a message to correct that. At 40lbs of wet weight added, that would...

Dave, I thought you added 60 lbs. to the dry weight. Oil, gas, engine coolant, wiper fluid, etc. But seriously, I sat with a mechanic while he told me the fluids in the SFS and it added up to 60.

Just like when the original came out in 09, the bronze wheels make all of the other non black parts fit in much better. I like those wheels a little better than the black.

Totally agree. I’m guessing a semi gloss black powder coat. Enough gloss to keep it shiny and sleek with out drawing attention. Red would be awesome, but matching exactly sounds like a tough ask.

I think if you get rid of the ginormous collector, take off the passenger pegs, and darken the rear set assembly, or whatever they call that, the bike will really trim out Really nice. It’s easy to sub out the license plate holder and blinkers for sleeker stuff. I bet those CRG bar end that...

Here, read this. It’s about 1/2 of the story. In essence there are no taylor made IMU’s for 2019. It was the electronics ban before this one that made it necessary to start putting wings on the bikes. https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/opinion/motogp/motogp-s-next-electronics-ban MotoGP’s next...

Agreed. Even worse is his body position. His arms are straight in a couple of those photos where he is just propping himself up. In another is back is totally humped. And if you really look close, you can tell he feels exhausted. Actually he hardly has any weight on the balls of his feet at...
  8. Cheap solution to wind buffeting

    Multistrada
I had a SFS and there is clearly wind action with that bike. First, wear good close fitting leather, rather than textile. This makes a big difference. Without going into the mechanics of air friction, just know this makes a big difference. Next, keep the leather clean and conditioned and the...

    Oh no. Really terrible.
  10. New V4 SF (Includes Prototype and Pikes Peak Pics)

    StreetFighter
Wow. Somehow he crashed between the final corner and the finish line. Terrible for him, too bad for Ducati too. I still want one. :smile2: I also thought the SFV2 was an 7-8 from some angles, but turned into a 10 as soon as it was rolling. I like that the new SFV4 keeps the super-missle...

This is very interesting. But I also think that Ducati knows the difference between SF handling and Monster handling. I think the Monster R could have represented Ducati in the SF market, but there is just still no scalpel to it, no pointy end. An SFR V4 would be awesome, but they didn’t do...

I was very glad for DP. I was standing up and cheering for him as he held off Marc at the finish line. On the other hand, where are the Yamaha’s, holy cow.

    GO JACK GO !!!!
  14. The End of Lin Jarvis - okay, maybe not.

    Road Racing
Well, I've been blaming the bike - i.e. the engineers for two years. Ever since that tire change rule in April 2017, that even Rossi seemed in favor of, when Yamaha took their nose-dive to the nether regions of Moto GP. They had the best bike, and through negative development (if that is...
  15. Anthony West speaks on the FIM.

    Road Racing
He should never have passed Marquez. Messing with the New World Order is what cost Rossi the 2015 Moto GP title. FIM and Dorna are nothing more than evil children with too much power.
