How are you guys liking the weight of these things? The old 1100S/1100EVO's are my all-time favorite bike, was looking at the 950SP the other day but man... nearly 100lbs more is a big pill to swallow there.

I rode my Multistrada yesterday and the Hyper today. Honestly, the Hyper is like riding a scooter with lots of power that handels and brakes incredibly well.

The stock tires stick incredibly well. I don't thinnk you will have a weight issue with the bike. Maybe its the lower weight compared to the MS but the brakes on the new Hyper are really amazing.

Weight is no issue. It feels lighter and faster than my 2006 S2r1000 which is probably very similar weight to an air cooled Hyper. The biggest difference is the motor as it has a much wider power and and doesn’t shake you to death below 4,000 RPM. I do really like the air cooled bikes though too so will probably add an air cooled Monster or Hyper at some point.

Another mirror idea...

Zeta pro guards with crg style round mirrors mounted forward of the bar end on the hand guard itself. Offers a better view imo. One ride with it today and it works really well.

Will those mirrors work on the stock hand guards?

My guess is that those mirrors would only work with stock hand guards, if the mirrors are mounted on the bar ends.

Stock hand guards are not rigid like the aluminum zeta hand guards. I would expect lots of vibration if they were mounted on a flexible plastic piece.

I’m sure you could mount them as others have mounted the CRG Arrows which mount the same but are different shape.

Another option is the CNC Racing Rocket mirrors which are fantastic & mount very cleanly with the included M6 bolt & you retain the stock brass insert in the handlebar. It sits up against the handguard very nicely which is why I chose them & when folded in they are narrower than stock which is important to me as I live in CA where lane splitting is legal.
